Connect Media, a privately held integrated media company and leading provider of commercial real estate news, today announced that Christopher Santarelli has joined the company as Vice President, Connect Creative – East. Based in Connect Media’s New York City office, Santarelli will lead client strategy and expansion for the growing roster of Eastern U.S.-based real estate services, capital markets, and technology businesses engaging Connect Creative, the company’s strategic communications and creative agency.

Connect Media, a privately held media company based in Los Angeles, and the nation’s largest provider of commercial real estate news, acquired Networld Media Group, a Louisville, Kentucky-based business-to-business media company delivering industry news and conferences for the restaurant, retail, banking and technology sectors, effective January 30, 2026. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

A group of 15 leading multifamily firms and commercial real estate industry groups have quickly banded together to support residents and rebuild Los Angeles following the devastating wildfires that struck the city the week of Jan. 7, 2025. The LA Wildfires CRE Pledge for Action is a grassroots initiative focused on meeting the immediate needs of people in affected communities across Southern California and creating a foundation for longer-term restoration. A central focus of the initiative is to fight price gouging by apartment owners, a priority championed by the California Apartment Association.

Connect Media, a multi-vertical news, events, creative services and educational company, acquired a majority ownership in ApartmentBuildings.com, a national multifamily listing service company. Financial details about the transaction were not disclosed. Scott Furman, founder of ApartmentBuildings.com, will join Connect Media’s team, serving as President of ApartmentBuildings.com.
